Whether you’re brand new to essential oils or a seasoned oiler, these top 10 essential oils for daily use are life changing. Let’s dig in!
Essential oils are truly essential in my house. A day doesn’t go by without their scents wafting into the air. From prayer time enhancers to tummy complaints to immune boosters in the diffuser to muscle relaxers to boo-boo comforters to bedtime soothers, essential oils weave into our daily life.
Do I use all 10 every day? No. But I definitely use them all every week! I’m just curious, which ones do you use daily and do our lists overlap? The following essential oils are Young Living brand, though most of the singles can be purchased through other companies. Lavender
Lavender is often dubbed the Swiss Army Knife of essential oils because it can be used in so many ways. My top 3 daily uses of lavender are: diffusing nightly in my kids room, applying topically for skin care, and dropping on my dryer balls to freshen our linens.
Cedarwood
Cedarwood is our go-to sleep oil (alongside lavender). Our family loves its woodsy scent. It’s also great for concentration, so it’s handy to have at my desk.
Lemon
Lemon Vitality goes in my water bottle any time I leave the house. It not only tastes amazing, but I love knowing that it’s cleansing my body at the same time. Lemon oil is amazing at breaking down chemicals and toxins, which it does in our bodies while supporting our cells.
Copaiba
I’ve heard copaiba described as being great for whole body wellness. At first I had no idea what that meant, so I used it daily for a while. I unintentionally stopped using it, and within a week I noticed a difference in my body. It just helps me function better all around! Copaiba also supports our bodies natural response to inflammation.
Thieves
Thieves blend is my #1 choice for immune boosting. In the diffuser, on my feet, in hot tea, or any other way I can come up with in my moment. It smells amazing too! For tea, I combine hot water, a drop each of Thieves vitality, lemon vitality, and copaiba vitality, and a drizzle of honey. YUM! Clove is my go-to for tea if I don’t have Thieves around. My kids ask for our Get Healthy Syrup any time we need an immune boost.
Tummygize or Digize
Tummygize and Digize are our favorites for tummies. Any time my kids come to me and say, “my tummy feels funny,” I ask if they want Tummygize. My oldest goes and grabs it herself now. My husband applies Digize to his stomach or the vitaflex points on his feet nightly.
Peppermint
Prior to kids, Peppermint oil was one of my favorites. Like lavender, it’s amazing for such a large variety of things. Since having kids, I use it in moderation; it can affect breast milk supply, and it’s very strong for baby/toddler lungs. One drop mixed with lavender and lemon smells great when the seasons are changing.
Stress Away
Stress Away has such a soothing aroma, I love to diffuse it on busy day and put a drop on my wrists when my kids are full of energy and I have a long to-do list. When I was pregnant with my third, I loved applying it to my shoulders every night before bed.
Valor
When I need grounding or feel like my body needs alignment, Valor is amazing. I love making a roller bottle to apply down my spine in the morning.
Owie
Owie oil is another kid-friendly regular in our house. Any time a bandaid is needed, owie goes on too. It’s our first responder (along with lavender) for any skin support.
