Let this prayer wash over you as you fill yourself with His word. Whether you’re a mom, teacher, student, administrator, or simply a woman praying for the school system, this prayer is full of His word and will not return void!
Heavenly Father,
We humble ourselves before you today. You are the great I AM, the creator of the heavens and the earth. We trust you, Lord, and lean not on our own understanding of what this school year will bring. We acknowledge you in all we do, in all our shopping and exploring and traveling and organizing and planning and studying. We trust that you will direct our path.
We thank you, Lord, that when we tithe, you will pour out a blessing so great that there won’t be room to contain it. You supply all of our needs according to your riches in glory through Christ Jesus. That means that no matter what is on our school supply list, no matter what our finances look like, you will help provide for us. You will supply comfort for those going off to Kindergarten or college for the first time. You will provide godly friends for us all. You will give wisdom to those stepping into homeschooling for the first time. You will supply all our needs!
Thank you that just like Jesus, we can grow in wisdom and stature and favor with God and with man. Your word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, let us ask for it and it will be given to us. We pray that you help us grow spiritually, and that our children grow strong and in good health physically. We thank you that as children of God, we walk in favor and blessing. We’re blessed and highly favored!
I pray for protection, over our families and friends and communities. I plead the blood of Jesus over us, that we may be strong in the lord and in his mighty power. I pray that we put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, we may be able to stand our ground. I claim that we are blessed when we go in and blessed when we go out. We walk in the blessings and protection of God.
Lord, any areas of this school year that need prayer covering, I stand in the gap right now. I lift up all students, all teachers, all parents, all administrators, all support staff, all decision makers, all scholarship providers, and mothers who don’t have kids in school yet. Bless the work of their hands. I pray that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which he has called us. I pray over our leaders. Give them heavenly guidance and wisdom. I pray that as believers, we are the light of the world, and the salt of the earth. Help us be the example, the leaders, the trend setters for good, and help us be messengers for your truth.
May this school year be blessed and full of all the fullness of God.
