Frozen Yogurt Bark is a simple, quick, and delicious snack, and this Peanut Butter Banana Yogurt Bark is sure to please the family!
We have been mildly obsessed with frozen yogurt bark this spring. Between toddlers wanting regular snacks, a teething baby, and warmer weather, this peanut butter banana frozen yogurt bark is satisfying, healthy, and delicious too!

Delicious as is, this recipe has so much potential for variations.
- We blended the ingredients, but you can also combine them on your tray for a chunkier version. I would mash the bananas with a fork, then stir/mash in the PB and yogurt.
- Mini chocolate chips would go great on top. You could also melt chocolate chips with a tiny bit of coconut oil, and drizzle it on top. Yummmm.
- We made half of this recipe into popsicles. My daughter pulled it out of the freezer as soon as it solidified, and called it her “ice cream bar.”
- Go crazy with toppings- chopped peanuts, mini chocolate chips, hemp seeds, sprinkles…

Ingredients
Honestly, I rarely measure ingredients for this type of thing. I always taste the yogurt mixture before I pour it into the pan and adjust as needed.

- Yogurt- Greek yogurt works best because of its thickness. I used homemade yogurt in these pictures, which was on the thinner side. Still tastes great, but it’s harder to get an even thickness.
- Peanut Butter- Feel free to sub any nut butter here.
- Banana- The secret star of the show. I recommend bananas that are riper, as the sweetness comes out more. Mine were definitely browning, but not complete mush.
- Honey or Maple Syrup- Added sweetener is totally optional. If you’re bananas are ripe, they give this recipe plenty of sweetness in my opinion. We did not use any.
- Hemp Seeds or other Toppings- I opted for hemp seeds because it adds an extra healthy boost to this bark, and my kids like them. Something like sprinkles or mini chocolate chips are fun to make it feel like more of a treat.
How to Make Peanut Butter Banana Frozen Yogurt Bark
In a blender, combine the banana, peanut butter, yogurt, and optional honey or maple syrup.

Blend until combined.
Pour mixture over a baking sheet. We use silicone sheets on a baking pan. Depending on the yogurt and pan you use, you might need 2 baking sheets. Ours came out super thin, so I used half here and turned the rest into popsicles. If thicker, use a spatula to spread it out about 1/8-1/4 inch thick. Check out this Blueberry Honey Frozen Yogurt Bark for pictures of thicker yogurt.

Sprinkle toppings over the yogurt mixture. If using larger pieces like chocolate chips, I gently tap the top to push them into the yogurt.

Place in the freezer until hardened (I usually leave mine until the next day, but a couple hours should suffice).

Once frozen, gently break into smaller pieces. Our house has little hands, so smallish is better, about 1-3 inches. Keep in mind that the yogurt will start to melt as soon as it touches hands, so size accordingly and handle the large chunk of bark as little as possible.
Enjoy or place in airtight container and back in freezer.
Q & A
Whatever tastes good to you! This is a “handful of flour” type recipe where you add a pinch of this and a scoop of that. I recommend you taste the yogurt as you go. If it’s not sweet enough, add more honey. If you can’t taste an ingredient, add more. If a flavor is too strong, add more yogurt. I believe in your creative powers!
Yes, add whatever ingredients you’d like! Swap the peanut butter for other nut butters. Sweetener can be honey or maple syrup; sugar would probably make the yogurt grainy (though I haven’t tested this personally). Other ingredient swaps will change the texture/flavor of the final bark, so that is up to you.
No, it’ll just turn back into yogurt.
This depends on the type of container you’re using and how fresh your yogurt is. Personally, I would feel safe with about 3 months, but do your own research. Ours has never lasted more than a few days.
